"Just Because" - Phil Lee

It’s the dim and recent past. Phil Lee and some of Nashville’s finest are cranking out another 60’s classic instead of what they were getting paid to do, which was make presentable demos for the reigning country stars of the day to turn into hit songs. Well, those country stars, if they were ever here at all, are gone now. But that 60’s classic is back!! I hope you dig it and take note of the fine musicianship (see below) that too often gets overlooked (I’m talking about you George Bradfute!) And appreciate how many elements of the golden era were not left unturned and turned over in a way that felt natural and right. - Phil Lee Phil Lee - vocal, guitar, drums and harmonica George Bradfute - cello, violin, saxes, guitar and bgvs Rick Schell - bgvs Dave Roe - bass Richard Bennett - acoustic and electric guitars Recorded and Mixed by George Bradfute at Tone Chaparral Studios Produced by Richard Bennett written by - Phil Lee (GRM/BMI) and Garth Beckington (GoMadMusic/BMI) video by Kent Agee
