THE GREAT IRONFORGE DISGUISE Echoes of the Beginning – Comedy Special [Intro – Deep Male Narrator, Spoken, Brief] It started at the Crossroads Inn, With seven friends and foolish grins. One reckless bet, one roll of dice, And suddenly... a terrible price. [Verse 1 – Bouncy Tavern Folk] The orc mage raised his mug up high, "We'd fool those dwarves! Just let us try! Through Ironforge we'd stroll unseen, The finest spies you've ever seen!" An old Tauren laughed, "Then prove your claim! Let's make a wager, play a game! Lose these dice, and off you go, Bring treasure from the halls below!" [Verse 2 – The Lost Bet] The dice rolled once, the table shook, The mage gave them a confident look. But when they stopped, his smile was gone, The tavern roared and cheered him on. The warrior groaned, the rogue just sighed, The Feral wished that he could hide. The warlock said, "Well, that's just great..." The priest replied, "I hate this fate." [Verse 3 – The Disguises] Two Forsaken wear human faces, Trying hard to hide their traces. Three Tauren painted midnight blue, "Night elves!" they shout. "We're elves like you!" The troll looks down at his own blue skin, "Well, I suppose I'll just fit in!" The orc wears a wig and a mustache too, With a scarf to hide his tusks from view. [Chorus – Catchy Comedy Folk Rock] Seven fools in borrowed clothes, Through Ironforge on quiet toes! Hide your horns and tails from sight, We're Alliance folk tonight! One lost bet, one foolish plan, All because of one loud man! Seven friends and one disguise, A masterpiece of foolish lies! [Verse 4 – Sneaking Through Ironforge] Past the guards and through the gate, They march along and tempt their fate. The forge burns bright, the anvils ring, And somehow no one's noticing! The orc walks past a dwarven guard, His fake mustache is falling apart. "Good evening, sir!" the guard replies, While six friends stare with widened eyes. [Bridge 1 – The Dwarf, Music Slows] A little dwarf with a squeaky tone, Steps in their path beside the stone. [Dwarf – High-Pitched MALE Spoken Voice] "Well, that's a funny-looking crew..." "Since when are night elves hairy and blue?" [Music Stops Completely] [Dwarf – Suspicious MALE Spoken Voice] "Hold on... what's that behind your mail?" "Is that... a TAIL?!" [One Beat of Silence] [Dwarf – Loud High-Pitched MALE Shout] "HOOOOORDE!!!" [Verse 5 – Fast Fiddle Chase] The warrior runs, her tail in flight, The Feral laughs, "You were almost right!" The priest yells, "RUN!" the rogue slips through, The mage loses his mustache too! The troll cries, "Quick! The portal's near!" His little imp disappears in fear. Through dwarven halls, past guards of stone, They dive below, far from home! [Chorus – Faster, Chaotic] Seven fools in borrowed clothes, Through Ironforge on flying toes! Horns and tails in open sight, We're definitely Horde tonight! Keep on running, don't look back, There's angry dwarves upon our track! Seven friends and one disguise, The worst success of all our lives! [Verse 6 – Halls of Thanes] Beneath the mountain, cold and old, Lie ancient halls of stone and gold. Faldrim's spirit bars their way, The priest steps forth to save the day. The warlock grins, "Could he be mine?" The priest replies, "That's not divine!" They send the restless ghost to rest, And march along to face the rest. [Verse 7 – Magmatus and Plunder] Magmatus roars in molten light, The mage prepares to join the fight. "Fireball!" he cries with pride, "Perhaps not fire!" his friends reply! Then Plunder wakes with grinding gears, A metal beast of bolts and spears. The warrior blocks, the Feral springs, The Resto heals through flying things! [Bridge 2 – Durgen Dirgehammer] Durgen Dirgehammer takes his stand, With heavy weapon in his hand. The rogue strikes first, the priest shields all, The warlock's shadows fill the hall. The warrior holds, the mage lets fly, The Feral leaps with battle cry. One final blow, the hammer falls, And silence fills the ancient halls. [Final Chorus – Victorious Tavern Folk] Seven fools in borrowed clothes, With dusty boots and broken bows! Through haunted halls and dwarven might, We somehow made it out all right! One lost bet, one foolish plan, All because of one loud man! Raise your mugs and sing tonight, The Horde survived its strangest fight! [Outro – Deep MALE Narrator, Spoken] The treasure was theirs. The bosses were defeated. And somehow... they made it back to the Crossroads. [Old Tauren – Deep MALE Spoken Voice] "Well, you brought the treasure. But weren't you supposed to stay unnoticed?" [Orc Mage – Deep MALE Spoken Voice, Smug] "Technically... they only noticed us on the way in." [Brief Silence] [Deep MALE Narrator – Spoken] And that was the last time anyone let the mage near a pair of dice. [End – Short Comedic Fiddle Sting]
