Ride with Norman Reedus: The New Zealand Story Most Kiwis Never Saw

Most Kiwis have never heard about this visit—until now. As part of the AMC television series Ride with Norman Reedus, international actor and motorcycle enthusiast Norman Reedus travelled to Aotearoa New Zealand. Tribal Nations Motorcycle Club was chosen to take part in that journey. This video tells the story behind the visit and offers a rare look at Tribal Nations MC from within its own environment—not as a gang, and not as performers, but as a community of motorcyclists connected through brotherhood, culture, shared values and service to others. Tribal Nations MC—A Tribe of All Nations—is a non-gang motorcycle club with a long history of supporting suicide awareness, family-violence prevention, community events, remembrance rides and other important kaupapa. Although the programme was created for an international audience, the visit remained remarkably quiet and was largely unseen by the New Zealand public. Its underlying subject remains highly relevant within today’s social and political climate, particularly in discussions surrounding motorcycle clubs, identity, public perception and the difference between community-based riding organisations and criminal gangs. This documentary preserves the story of that visit and provides context from someone who was there.
