I Survived One Storm Camping in My VW T4… Then Another One Arrived! | TDM245

After spending a wild Friday night camping beside Eyebrook Reservoir in my 24-year-old VW T4 campervan during Storm Austen, Bruno and I wake up to a surprisingly peaceful Saturday morning. There's time for a cheeky walk with Bruno, a piping hot coffee, chocolate-chip biscuits and some beautiful views across the reservoir. But the peace doesn't last! With another storm approaching, the wind begins to pick up, the temperature drops and the rain starts falling. It's time to get the Meat Wagon moving and head back towards South Lincolnshire before the weather gets any worse. Along the way, we explore a little more of Eyebrook Reservoir, discover some fascinating local history and enjoy the rolling countryside of Rutland and Northamptonshire. I also have a chat about some upcoming camping adventures, including a possible Wales road trip and more winter nights away in the old VW T4. Once we're back at the homestead, the rain really starts coming down! Mrs Meat joins me for a very wet Saturday shopping trip before we settle in for a cosy evening.
