Club day out Grayling fishing on the river Itchen.

I booked a day for my fishing club, Edenbridge angling society on the prolific Lower Itchen Fishery in Southampton. The venue allows stunning chalk stream fishing for the "Lady of the stream" the Grayling. The native wild brown trout are numerous as well as Salmon par which are as pretty as a picture. long trotting is the method and maggots the bait as I set out to catch Grayling and some brassy Chub from one of the wonders of the fishing world, the chalk streams of southern England.
