Original vs Remake: Village of the Damned

The original Village of the Damned is a 1960 classic, directed by Wolf Rilla and featuring George Sanders, which was based on the novel The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham. In 1995 director John Carpenter directed the remake, starring Christopher Reeve. Both films tell the story of the small town of Midwich, where an evil force leaves a group of women pregnant. Nine months later their children are born and the people of Midwich soon discover there is something horribly wrong with those creepy little children. 'Original vs Remake' shows the differences and resemblances between the old and the new. And tonight's film is Village of the Damned. It's Rilla vs. Carpenter. Sanders vs. Reeve. Damned vs. Damned.
