Elizabeth Holmes’ husband was secretly running her Twitter account, and one of the people he tweeted at was our own reporter. We break down Nathan Fielder’s Elizabeth Holmes documentary You Can See Everything, plus The Social Reckoning and Alex Gibney’s Musk. Spoilers ahead.
Silicon Valley has taken over the box office. On this episode of PST, host Emily Dreyfuss is joined by SF Standard news editor Kevin Truong and senior Silicon Valley correspondent Theo Baker, author of How to Rule the World, a book about Stanford and fraud. Together they dig into the Theranos founder’s final 34 days before prison as captured by Nathan Fielder.
They cover the “have you ever told a lie?” scene, Billy Evans’ role as enforcer, the Amanda Seyfried surprise, and the exact moment they knew she was lying.
Kevin also reports back about his 11-hour triple feature. He reviews Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Reckoning, and the four-hour Musk documentary, which comes with an intermission, an AI Elon, and an appearance by his father Errol Musk.
