Gw2 | Cerus CM | Flower strat | Power Tempest (Fresh Air)

Flower strategy is a melee-friendly strat for Cerus CM developed by REMagic and others which does not heavily favor condi Virtuosos like UNIT strat does. It relies on 2 heal boon Chronos and a condi Druid. One Chrono provides portals similar to UNIT strat CS variant, however, all Malice portals have to be placed on the edge. The other Chrono provides the portals that are usually done by a Scourge in UNIT strat, as well as the Flower variant specific portals (out of Rage & Flower drops). The condi Druid is responsible to keep the Malice adds immobilized close to the boss so that they can be cleaved down easily; Minas' PoV of that is also linked below. Flower strat is named like this due to how most big despair AoEs are handled; everyone takes a Chrono portal away from the boss, fans out around it, dodges the despair AoE early, and takes sometimes the same, sometimes another Chrono portal back as soon as the "Evaded!" text pops up on the screen. That way there's no puddle on the boss and everyone survives quite easily (see 5:21, 6:28, 6:43, 7:57, 8:27). In Flower strat, it's important not to drop unempowered despair puddles in the way of Malice adds in the first 2 phases. In p1, they're taking the north-eastern path, so no puddles between heart & triangle. In p2, they're taking the south-eastern path, so no puddles between star and swirl. This is due to the puddles destroying the Druid's Entangle. This was my 2nd kill as Power Tempest as well as using Flower strat. I'm still not used to some Flower specific portals and my rotation can certainly be improved. However, this is what I'm focusing on: 1) I try to use my AoEs (mainly Air Overload, but also Feel the Burn, Air#5, and Fire#5) in a way to hit both Cerus and the Malice add(s) (see 1:06, 3:17, 3:28, 5:49). When we're away from Cerus for Flower drops, I fully focus on Malice adds (see 5:07, 5:19, 6:26); however, at 6:44, I should have fanned out to the other side to fully hit all Malice adds which might have prevented the additional Malice add walking in at 7:00. 2) For cc, I use Air#4 and Water#4 as well as the Water elemental's elite skill at 10% (see 1:23, 3:53, 7:47). However, since the breakbar was broken so quickly, not all of my cc actually hit. 3) Depending on the squad's dps, I can cast Fire elemental 3 times and still cast Water elemental in time before the final breakbar at 10%; if your squad's dps is higher, you can either cast the Water elemental late, or swap the 3rd Fire elemental to Water instead as Water only lasts for 60s while all others last for 120s. I want to have Water elemental to help cc at 10% (see 7:47) as well as for the healing around myself on its active skill (see 8:04, 8:16, 8:43). I also use Wash the Pain Away when I feel like it's needed (see 8:46). 4) Sub 10%, I also rotate to earth for Earth#2's toughness (see 8:13, 8:45). This in combination with the dmg reduction ascended food makes me tankier which can be needed towards the end of the fight to not get 1-shot by the smashes.
