Medicare Open Enrollment runs October 15 – December 7, and scammers know it. Every year this window brings a wave of fake calls, texts, and mailers pretending to be Medicare, offering "free" benefits, new cards, or better 2027 plans, all to get your Medicare number and personal information.
In this episode I'll show you exactly how these scams work, the warning signs to watch for, and what to do if someone has already gotten your information. No tech-speak, just plain English.
✅ Remember: ASK. PAUSE. VERIFY.
Medicare will not call you out of the blue to sell you a plan or ask for your Medicare number. If you're unsure, hang up and call the official number on the back of your card: 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227), or go to Medicare.gov.

👍 If this helped, share it with a parent, grandparent, or friend who's choosing a Medicare plan this fall. That one share could stop a scam.
