Paragliding - Trying to [Ridge] Lift my Spirits - Henson Gap [Dunlap] TN, USA - 5 September 2026

It was a struggle for me to get above ridge height on this flight. As you can see, the Ridge-soaring Etiquette is nearly nonexistent here. I had enough of the proximity to the other pilots so I headed out to the valley to try to find lift there.... didn't find it there either. This weekend we landed in the Horse Corral Field. The Dove Field [our preferred landing zone] was off limits this weekend due to dove hunting. Even though most flights I don't get up high, I'm still grateful to be flying at all. Even short sledder flights, continue to wow me.
