A piano cover version of the Hey Jessie Theme Song about early intermediate level.
First you can follow the individual parts of the song at a very slow tempo:
0:10 Intro
1:00 Verse
1:34 Chorus
2:08 Bridge
Then you can watch and listen to the entire song at the original speed (about 134 bpm) at 2:42
For Beginner/Early Intermediate Student the hardest part is probably the constant fast repetition of the left hand, which requires a relaxed arm and a loose wrist. On top of that the left hand needs to be played very softly (piano) to ensure the clarity of the right hand legato melody.
If this is too hard choose a slower tempo or play quarter notes in the left hand until you feel more comfortable with the eighth note repetition.
In any case make sure with each repetition to never lift the key all the way to its starting point, but rather about 1mm below which gives the sound a natural continuity even though the notes are played rather short.
