After exploring Pushkar, it's time to ride towards Jodhpur — Rajasthan's famous Blue City. The journey begins on a two-lane state highway, cruising through the landscapes of Rajasthan. But finding a place to stop for food turns out to be a little challenging, as there's hardly a dhaba or restaurant for a long stretch of the route. Finally, I reach Jodhpur and check into **Raghvendra Heritage Rooms**, a property that maintains a beautiful Rajasthani heritage feel. With comfortable rooms and dining options, it becomes a place to relax after the ride. Before exploring the city, I get Akira's engine oil changed and then head out to discover Jodhpur's royal past. First, I visit the magnificent **Umaid Bhawan Palace**, where the grand architecture and intricate details offer a glimpse into the royal lifestyle of an earlier era. Next, I explore the mighty **Mehrangarh Fort**, standing high above the city, with its massive walls, historic architecture, and stunning views of the Blue City. The journey through Jodhpur's heritage continues at **Mandore Garden**, known for its beautiful cenotaphs associated with the rulers of Marwar. I also visit a viewpoint there and enjoy a peaceful moment as the sun begins to set. The next morning, I leave the bike behind and explore the Blue City on foot. From its narrow blue-painted lanes to the local shops serving hot **pyaaz kachori and chai**, this is a chance to experience Jodhpur beyond its famous monuments. I also visit **Gulab Sagar Lake**, a historic reservoir associated with a romantic local story.
