Women in Sport: Shamase twins share their life-changing footballing history

Throughout their childhood, the Shamase twins, Thubelishe and Siphumelele, have toiled through the junior ranks in women’s football clubs and squads to play for the national team. This year, the twins have enrolled at UJ as fully subsidised student-athletes and have begun playing for the Orange Army (UJ) in the national universities’ Hollywoodbets Super Bets league.
