Welcome to Day 3 of Your Daily Plumbline. Today's word is UNDERSTAND. Yesterday, we slowed down to ABIDE in Scripture. Today, we're taking the next step by spending time with the Core Teaching and Extended Teaching from Module 1: The Fear of the Lord - The Beginning of Discernment. This short daily encouragement is designed to help students in The Plumbline find a healthy weekly rhythm—without rushing ahead, falling behind, or turning spiritual formation into another checklist. Today we're asking an important question: Can we have information without actually becoming discerning people? We live in a world overflowing with information, teaching, opinions, podcasts, social media, news, and voices competing for our attention. But information alone does not produce biblical discernment. Discernment begins with a heart that fears the Lord. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge...” — Proverbs 1:7, NKJV As you work through today's teaching, carry this question before the Lord: “Lord, what are You teaching me about the kind of person I must become in order to discern well?” Don't rush through the material simply to complete it. Listen. Take notes. Pause when something challenges you. Welcome correction. And allow the Holy Spirit to move truth from your head into your heart and life. Remember: The plumbline is not the focus. The One holding it is. The goal is to love Him enough to welcome His measurement. Today's Rhythm Day 3 - UNDERSTAND Focus on the Core Teaching and Extended Teaching in Module 1.
