My sole intention behind this series is to promote Indian Classical Music so that it reaches more and more people and they can enjoy the bliss that it gives! Also to convey how I enjoyed and was sable to unleash the immense creativity of this music composition through Active Listening! About this Song: Singer: Asha Bhosle (AshaTai) Movie: Suvasini (1961) Language: Marathi Music Composer: Sudhir Phadke (Babuji) Lyrics: Ga Di Madgulkar (GaDiMa) Music Arrangement: Prabhakar Jog (Jog Aajoba) This song has 4 Stanzas and each of them has been composed in 5 Raags - Yaman, Kedar, Sohoni, Basant, Malhar. This was an Iconic rather Milestone composition out of so many of Babuji’s and AshaTai’s popular Marathi Compositions. Babuji’s creativity reflects throughout the composition and especially where he kept Raag Yaman as a Pivotal and other 3 Stanzas composed in completely different Raags and icing on the cake is all 3 Stanzas end with a Taan/Aalap that brings the composition back to Pivotal Raag Yaman. This song is at par with similar and very popular Classical based song - “Kuhu Kuhu Bole Koyaliya” sung by LataDidi & RafiSaab from the Hindi Movie Suvarna Sundari (1958) composed by AdiNarayan Rao where the Pivotal Raag is Sohoni and other 3 Raags are - Jaunpuri, Bahar and Yaman.
