While small and mid-caps re-rate, Indian large-caps trade at a discount — and Anu argues the missing ingredient is cross-border ambition. Of $1 trillion in global cross-border M&A this year, India's only headline act was Sun Pharma's $11.75 billion deal. "An Indian company making a $10 billion-plus acquisition outside India should not be the exception."
