A Simple Day on the Farm and a Conversation About Comfort & Security

A simple day on the farm turned into one of those conversations that made us reflect on the life we’ve chosen. In this video, we’re introducing you to our new piglets, showing you a little bit of how we feed them, and giving you a quick look around the farm—from our chickens and turkey to some of the everyday things happening here. But while resting after spending time on the farm, we also found ourselves talking about something we had just heard at church: comfort and security. After living abroad for many years, coming back to the Philippines wasn’t necessarily the choice that looked the safest or most secure to everyone. In fact, some people probably thought we would never come back. But sometimes, the life that feels comfortable and secure isn’t necessarily the life you dream about. We’re not saying everyone should leave their jobs, move back home, or take the same path we did. We simply wanted to share what we’ve learned from our own journey—that sometimes, pursuing what you believe you’re called to do requires you to step away from what is familiar.
