Primates are members of the order Primates. This is the broadest category and includes lemurs, monkeys, apes, and humans. Therefore, every human is a primate, but not every primate is a human. Now let's move to Hominids.
Hominids belong to the family Hominidae, commonly known as the great apes. This group includes humans, chimpanzees, bonobos, gorillas, orangutans, and their extinct ancestors. So, Hominids are a subset of Primates.
Finally, what are Hominins?Hominins are members of the human lineage. They include modern humans and extinct species that are more closely related to humans than to chimpanzees.Examples of Hominins include Australopithecus afarensis, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Neanderthals, and modern Homo sapiens.
