GO Virginia Stories of Impact: Manufacturing Workforce Strategy Development for the Lynchburg Region

Through skills assessments, industry tours, roundtables, and educator workshops, a GO Virginia Region 2 planning grant identified opportunities to better align education and workforce training with regional employer needs in the Lynchburg area. An implementation grant built on the workforce needs identified during the planning phase and brought the findings to life through SayYestoLYHRegion.org, a centralized hub connecting students, job seekers, educators, and employers to career opportunities and workforce resources across the region.
