Join me for a walking tour through El Tunco, El Salvador — one of the country’s best-known surf destinations and part of the famous Surf City coastline. We begin at Hostal Camila’s, where we stayed during our visit to El Tunco. From there, we head out through the local streets and follow the road running parallel to the Pacific coast before making our way down toward the ocean. Along the walk, you’ll experience the everyday atmosphere of El Tunco, with its tropical streets, surf-town vibe, ocean views and powerful Pacific waves. We continue along the beachside area before looping back through town and eventually returning to Hostal Camila’s. Hostal Camila’s was a great place to stay during our time in El Tunco — relaxed, welcoming and very conveniently located for exploring the area on foot. The beach, restaurants, cafés and the heart of El Tunco are all within easy reach. Located in Tamanique, La Libertad, El Tunco is one of El Salvador’s most recognizable coastal destinations, known for its surf culture, black-sand beaches, Pacific sunsets and laid-back atmosphere.
