Valens is an emotional instrumental love song for piano and string orchestra, a neoclassical piece filled with love, growth, renewal, and the dynamic flow of life. The original piano melody was composed in 2023. In 2026, I returned to the piece, revisiting and rearranging it for piano and string orchestra, giving the original melody a new and fuller life. While I was reviving and finalizing the piece, a beautiful new chapter was beginning in our lives. My wife had just started working as a psychiatrist at Valens Clinic. Seeing how genuinely happy she was about this new beginning stayed with me. She has always supported me and my music, and I wanted this piece to carry a memory of that happiness and, in its own way, to be an expression of my love and gratitude to her. That is how the piece became Valens. The name also seemed to belong naturally to the music. The piece unfolds like a living journey from emergence and growth to movement, transformation, and renewal. And throughout that journey, love is always there, quietly flowing between the notes. For me, Valens is both a romantic instrumental love song and a reflection on life itself on how life emerges, grows, transforms, and keeps moving forward.
