Market Magic: My First Steampunk Market | A Different Kind of Event

Welcome back to Market Magic! This time I'm stepping into something completely different as I attend my very first Steampunk & Alternative Market, organised by Leeds Steampunk Markets, at the fascinating Middleton Railway Museum. After a break from hosting events, Leeds Steampunk Markets are back, and I was excited to experience something outside my usual Mind, Body & Spirit circuit. Set amongst historic locomotives and railway buildings, the venue certainly created a unique atmosphere and made for a memorable backdrop. As always, I'll take you behind the scenes as I: 🚂 Set up my stall 🛍️ Explore the other traders and displays ⚙️ Soak up the steampunk atmosphere 📦 Pack everything away at the end of the day Like every market, this one had its own personality. The venue was much smaller than I'm used to, making for a very intimate shopping experience and a different way of displaying the traders. Although the day was fairly quiet, I covered my table costs and came away with another valuable experience under my belt. Every event teaches you something new, and trying different markets is all part of growing a small business. The organisers have another event planned in Castleford this December, so it'll be interesting to see how a different venue compares. Have you ever visited a Steampunk Market?
