Yoooo ALPHAZ!! 🐺🔥 If you saw my original reaction to XG - O.R.B (Obviously Reads Bro), then you already know how much I loved this track. The ONLY thing I said it was missing… A MUSIC VIDEO. So when XG finally dropped one, there was absolutely no way I wasn’t reacting to it. 😂🔥 And BRO… They absolutely nailed the visual. The whole thing instantly gave me early-2000s skater / pop-punk nostalgia — the kind of aesthetic that takes me straight back to that Avril Lavigne era. The styling, attitude, locations and overall energy just fit O.R.B so perfectly. What made it even more interesting to me though was that it didn’t feel like they were simply copying a Western 2000s skater aesthetic. There was still something distinctly XG about it. I mentioned during the reaction that some of the styling and attitude reminded me of Gyaru, which is such an interesting connection because “gyaru” comes from the Japanese pronunciation of “gal” — and of course XG’s label is XGALX. Whether that connection is intentional or not, I just loved seeing XG take a nostalgic aesthetic and filter it through their own identity. That’s something they consistently do so well. The original track already gave me that 2000s pop-punk / alt nostalgia, but the video somehow amplified it even more.
