🎶 JISR – Gnawa Spirit in Casablanca The Munich-based ensemble JISR embarks on a sonic journey across Morocco — from the bustling streets of Casablanca to the deep silence of the desert. This making-of captures intimate moments of travel, encounters, and recording: musicians wandering through the city, sharing rhythms in cafés, and finally merging their sounds at Hiba Studios in Casablanca. A vibrant encounter between Arabic classical music, Amazigh rhythms, Gnawa trance, Sahara blues, and jazz — a dialogue of cultures, spirituality, and improvisation.
