I’m 24 and Japanese. Here’s What I Think About Working in Japan

I’m 24 years old, and I’m Japanese. Japan is safe, clean, convenient, and in many ways, a very easy place to live. But sometimes, I find it difficult to live here. In this video, I talk about my experience with working in Japan, the pressure to always be productive, the difficulty of taking a break, workplace culture, and how much I care about what other people think. Living in Canada for about a year and a half also made me see some of these things differently. I don’t think Japan is a bad place to live. I actually love Japan. But I started wondering if a country being easy to live in always means that it’s easy to live the way you want to live. I’m still 24, and I don’t have all the answers. I’m just trying to figure out what kind of life I actually want. What about your country? Do you feel pressure to work, be productive, or live a certain way?
