No Guide, No Plan, Just Us at the Pyramids of Giza, Egypt

We stayed 3 nights in Giza — not because we needed that long to see the Pyramids, but because we didn't want to rush it. Our tour guide never got back to us, so we cancelled and ended up seeing everything on our own. Turns out that's easier now: there's a new Great Gate entrance and hop-on-hop-off buses inside the site, included in your ticket. We also spent time at the Grand Egyptian Museum, and used the rest of our days to just slow down at Marriott Mena House (not sponsored, we just needed the rest).
