Welcome to Tutorial 23 of our complete CATIA Training Course Exercises! Today, we are modeling a classic industrial component: a Journal Bearing Housing (Lagăr). If you are an engineering student preparing for your CAD exams, this is a MUST-KNOW part! 💡 The Pro CAD Skills in this video: We are taking the modeling speed to the next level. Instead of sketching complex semi-circles to round off the top of our bearing boss, we will use the incredibly powerful Tritangent Fillet tool to do it automatically! We are also organizing our reference planes properly inside a Geometrical Set and using the Stiffener and Mirror commands to build strong, symmetrical support ribs. CATIA commands used in this exercise: • Pad & Pocket (to build the base and hollow out the bearing bore) • Tritangent Fillet (the ultimate trick for perfect semi-circular tops) • Stiffener & Mirror (to quickly generate the dual support webs) 👇 Question for the community: Be honest—when you need to completely round off the top of a square block, do you sketch an arc in 2D and extrude it, or do you use the 3D 'Tritangent Fillet' tool? Let's discuss the smartest workflow below! 🎯 HELP THE CHANNEL GROW!
