BEARS GOING ALL-IN?! 5 Positions Ryan Poles MUST Upgrade Before Trade Deadline

🐻🔥 The Chicago Bears are 5-2 — and suddenly they have some BIG decisions to make. Has D’Marco Jackson played his way into a permanent role on Dennis Allen’s defense? Jackson played EVERY defensive snap against New England, finishing with six tackles and a critical red-zone interception. His coverage numbers have been outstanding, including a 76.2 PFF coverage grade and a 27.1 passer rating allowed when targeted. But there’s a catch. 🚨 Jackson’s 34.5 run-defense grade ranks at the bottom among qualifying linebackers. So when T.J. Edwards returns, what should Chicago do? Should Jackson start? Should Edwards immediately reclaim his role? Or should Dennis Allen build situational linebacker packages around Jackson, Edwards and Devin Bush? Then we turn to the NFL TRADE DEADLINE. 👀 Chicago has been identified as a team that could be aggressive before November 10, but being aggressive doesn’t mean Ryan Poles should become reckless. Haize ranks the FIVE positions Chicago should be evaluating: 1️⃣ Interior defensive line 2️⃣ Edge rusher 3️⃣ Outside cornerback 4️⃣ Blocking tight end 5️⃣ Offensive tackle insurance Should Chicago chase an impact defensive tackle? Add another pass rusher alongside Montez Sweat? Find insurance for a secondary that has dealt with injuries and inconsistent play? Replace some of the blocking responsibilities lost when Cole Kmet went down? Or save the draft capital for the future? And finally… 🚨 WHO SHOULD PROTECT CALEB WILLIAMS? The Bears suddenly have three legitimate left-tackle options. 🐻 Theo Benedet has provided continuity and strong run blocking. 🔥 Ozzy Trapilo is returning from a major knee injury and was viewed as a potential long-term answer before going down. 👀 Braxton Jones could become available again and has posted the best pass-blocking grade of the three in the current sample. So should Ben Johnson stick with Benedet? Gradually turn the job back over to Trapilo? Or give Braxton Jones another opportunity if he’s healthy?
