Once a year, all six Wienermobiles converge on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and fight for motorsports’ most delicious trophy. You know the Indy 500 and the limits to which drivers push themselves for the chance to carve their face on its historic Borg-Warner Trophy. But do you know about the Wienie 500? A test of racecraft and culinary might that’s unlike any other race on the planet. Six Wienermobiles, piloted by the most experienced Hotdoggers that Oscar Mayer can mustard, face off on a two-lap dash around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Only one Wienermobile can win, and in doing so its Hotdoggers become immortalized in the minds and stomachs of their fans.
