Todos Santos is a small coastal town on the Pacific coast, about an hour drive north of Cabo San Lucas or La Paz. It’s charming small town with laidback vibes and feels a world away. The population is 7,185 inhabitants. Todos Santos is located near the Tropic of Cancer in the municipality of La Paz. Here you will enjoy the old-fashioned old town, boutique hotels, incredible food and beautiful beaches. Todos Santos was established in 1723 when the Jesuits established a Mission in the area. The people that settled here took advantage of the area’s fertile soil, and the area eventually became a major sugar cane producer. In the 1950s there was a drought that caused the closure of several sugar cane factories. Todos Santos was off the grid until 1984, when the road between Cabo San Lucas and Todos Santos was paved. Todos Santos became a popular place for tourists who were drawn to the quiet lifestyle of a traditional Mexican village. In 2006 Todos Santos was designated as a Pueblo Mágico for its historical relevance, cultural riches and natural beauty.
