The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers meet in one of the biggest games of NFL Week 7, with significant NFC North implications on the line. Green Bay travels to Ford Field looking to extend its winning streak, while Detroit returns from its bye week hoping to regain ground in a competitive division race. The Packers enter at 4–2 after defeating the Dallas Cowboys 23–13 in Week 6. Detroit is 3–2 after a dominant 45–21 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 before its Week 6 bye. With Jordan Love leading Green Bay and Jared Goff directing Detroit's high-powered offense, this divisional rivalry has the potential to be one of the weekend's most entertaining matchups. Green Bay Packers Preview The Green Bay Packers enter Week 7 with momentum after winning consecutive games. Head coach Matt LaFleur has his team positioned near the top of the NFC North, and a road victory over Detroit would strengthen Green Bay's standing in the division. Quarterback Jordan Love will be central to the Packers' game plan. Love has the arm strength to attack defenses vertically, and Green Bay has shown the ability to create explosive passing plays. Detroit enters at 3–2 and will be looking to build on its convincing win over Arizona, when the offense scored 45 points. Quarterback Jared Goff has been one of the Lions' biggest strengths. Entering Week 7, Goff had thrown 12 touchdown passes without an interception, demonstrating outstanding efficiency through the first five games. His accuracy, pocket awareness and ability to distribute the ball make Detroit's offense difficult to defend when the offensive line gives him time. Detroit's offense has plenty of playmaking ability, particularly through running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
