Endurance + Encouragement = Hope Message: Against the Odds Scripture: Judges 6:1 – 8:35 A situation may look hopeless with all the odds stacked against you. It may, however, be the exact scenario that God is putting together to bring about an amazing good. The story of Gideon is a great example. Gideon wasn’t outstanding when God began to speak to him: he was a chicken who was falsely accusing God. But because Gideon responded well to God, he had an amazing transformation and became a mighty warrior. Gideon led his people to a stunning victory, and they enjoyed peace for 40 years. God has an amazing transformation in mind for you. (2 Corinthians 3:18, Romans 12:2) You can make progress in that transformation, regardless of the odds, by responding to God in the same ways Gideon did.
