Here are the boss fights during the Enlighten One's Journey story run of the Nioh 3. It features the main story's boss fights and a few guests including Bloodedge Demon, Yasha and seeing Tomoe Gozen after the fight, and Okita Souji. The idea is to go through the story immediately with minimal farming. The stone of penance (SoP) is used throughout the fight except the first fight since I forgot to put it at the start of the run. I leveled it as I go throughout the journey and eventually hitting +7 to face the premier bosses of the base game. The boss fights involve using the samurai exclusively given that I main the samurai that is more optimized while my ninja is not optimized. I had about 4 billion amrita that I used to level my character at the start. During the run, I spent 30 million gold to level the Lv. 170 dual katana from +15 to +25 I was lucky to use the +27 upgrade that pushed all the way to +30. I had resources to spend while I changed some of the armor pieces during my run while maintaining the core identity of the build. The build uses the mixed set of using two pieces Brave Demon Hunter's (Demon Cutter and the armor piece) for the increased Martial Art Damage, two pieces of Warrior of the East Graves for the increased Martial Art Damage and Decreased Damage Taken While Attacking, and the six-piece Grace of Hotei set with the Yasakani Magatama to reduce the set requirements by 1. Also, I ended up getting a dual katana with the star that had +35 imbue lightning, which I used throughout the run. The Double-Headed Slice is the main damage dealer to hit foes along with the Sign of the Cross Pierce to perform a longer wind-up sheathe attack while gaining position on the back of the enemy at low stance. The low stance is used a lot during the run. It feels fluid and I hit by spinning a lot to maximize amrita generation and life recovery. This build also takes account Life Recovery (Deflect) and increased damage with Life Recovery stacks, which boost overall damage output for the run. Skill is set to the maximum of 150 while I level up Intellect to increase Ki recovery speed and effect duration so the buffs last longer. I used Life Leech Talisman, Lightning Talisman, Steel Talisman, Extraction Talisman, Protection Talisman, and Barrier Talisman and a stockpile of Sacred Brush should I use to replenish Omyo items in long expeditions and fights. Having the skill to use Omyo faster is a must since I can buff in the middle of the fight quickly. I am amazed that this build succeeded in completing the boss fights in this run. My perfect deflect timings are middling, but I can perform them when it counts. This is the appetizer for the Hell Rising DLC. I look forward for the challenge ahead.
