Your first draft is supposed to be bad. Seriously. It's a first draft. It's not supposed to be polished, perfect, or ready for anyone else to read. It's supposed to be the place where you figure things out, make mistakes, write awkward sentences, and get the story out of your head and onto the page. So let's lower the standard a little. In this cozy write with me session, we're going to spend some quiet time writing without worrying too much about whether the words are good. No judging every sentence. No stopping to fix everything. Just writing and letting the first draft be a first draft. You can always make it better later.
