British farmers laughed at American farm machines, until they saw what a modern combine harvester can really do. Four wheat farmers from Norfolk, England visit a Kansas wheat farm during harvest and meet the John Deere X9, one of the biggest combine harvesters in the world, with a 45-foot header and close to 700 horsepower.
Inside the cab, they discover precision agriculture up close: GPS auto steering, yield mapping, grain quality cameras and Machine Sync, where the combine unloads into a moving grain cart without stopping. Plus why Kansas wheat yields are lower than UK yields, the history of Turkey Red wheat, and the custom harvesters who follow the wheat harvest north every summer.

This story is a dramatization. The characters are fictional, but the machines, farming facts and history are real.
