Gatley Railway Station15 08 2025

A selection of multiple units and locos passing through Gatley Station on the line from Manchester Piccadilly to Wilmslow via Styal plus trains to and from Manchester Intenational Airport. The video was made on a busy Friday afternoon in August whilst the West Coast Main Line through Stockport was closed as the bridge on Greek Street was demolished and rebuilt. Consequently there were numerous Avanti West Coast Pendolinos and Cross Country Voyagers passing through on diversion, as well as additional Transport for Wales units heading to/from Shrewsbury and South Wales. Normal services operated by Northern & Transpennine Express are also included as is the usual flow of freight trains - all filmed in glorious 8K.
