Beautiful Wales, Dodgy Stomach… No Flushing Toilet! | Van Life

A few impromptu days in Wales to reset and recharge before my European trip… with one very unwelcome interruption! After the van had been in the garage and I’d been staying at my daughter’s helping with my granddaughter, Rae, I was ready for a little escape. My green card still hadn’t arrived, so I headed to Wales for some fresh air and a change of scenery. First stop was beautiful Lake Padarn, where I couldn’t resist a cold water dip. Then it was over to Amlwch in Anglesey, where food poisoning or a tummy bug left me really poorly for a day. Still not sure which it was, but having the runs in a van is an experience I could happily have done without! Thankfully, I felt better and made it over to gorgeous Conwy, where the October sunshine had me back in shorts and a vest. Beautiful scenery, a lake dip and a little bit of van life reality.
