The Limbu community itself is a race endowed with original cultural heritage. Among their original culture, Chasok Tangnam, which is mainly related to agricultural lifestyle, is a cultural identity festival. Even though different castes have their own relationship with agriculture, for Limbu, Chasok Tangnam has been celebrated as a special festival because it is clearly mentioned in Mundhum, which instructs about social, family, political, cultural and moral life style.
