久喜 提灯祭り 旧久喜町の鎮守である八雲神社の祭礼で1783年から230年以上にわたって続くお祭りです。見どころは各町内から出される7台の大きな山車で、昼間は神話の神々の人形を飾った人形山車がお囃子とともに賑やかに町を回ります。夜になると人形を外し約500個の提灯を飾ります。高さ約7.5mにもなる光輝く山車が久喜駅西口広場に集結し、山車を回転させたりぶつけたりする光景は圧巻で、「関東一の提灯祭り」と言われてます。 Kuki Lantern Festival This festival has been held for over 230 years since 1783 at Yakumo Shrine, the guardian deity of the former Kuki Town. The highlight of the festival is the seven large floats from each town. During the daytime, the doll floats decorated with dolls of mythical gods lively go around the town accompanied by musical accompaniment. At night, the dolls are removed and about 500 lanterns are displayed. Shining floats that are about 7.5m high gather at Kuki Station's west exit plaza, and the spectacle of the floats spinning and crashing into each other is a spectacular sight, and is said to be the "best lantern festival in the Kanto region."
