Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791): the boy who, according to his father, wrote down Allegri's Miserere from memory; the court musician who, by his own account, was dismissed with a kick; the composer of Figaro, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute; and the Requiem he left unfinished, whose Lacrimosa breaks off after eight bars. Told through Mozart's own manuscripts, portraits made in his lifetime, archival film of Salzburg from 1921, and the places themselves. There are no AI-generated images in this film. Narrated by Sawyer Moranville.
