How much does your face decide your Life? We like to believe that people judge us by our intelligence, personality, skills and character. But what happens when someone's face and physical appearance influence those judgments before they even speak? In this documentary-style investigation, I explore the research behind facial attractiveness, first impressions, the halo effect and appearance bias—and ask how far these effects actually reach. Does being attractive make people see you as more trustworthy or intelligent? Can appearance influence dating, hiring, politics, social status or other opportunities? And if people treat two people differently because of how they look, could those different experiences eventually affect confidence and behaviour? I look at experiments and research involving attractiveness and social perception, the beauty premium, courtroom judgments, political candidates and the way people form impressions from faces. But the answer isn't as simple as “attractive people have better lives.” The deeper question is: When people make assumptions about you before they know you, what happens next? This video explores the science of physical attractiveness, facial perception, social psychology, first impressions, beauty bias and appearance discrimination—and where the evidence becomes much more complicated. #Psychology #FirstImpressions #Attractiveness
