We Couldn’t Keep Hauling Firewood Like This—This Tool Fixed Our Biggest Problem

Heating with wood saves us money—but hauling it was wearing us out. With Marcel’s shoulder surgery coming, we needed a way to keep the savings while making the work more manageable. We’ve tried carts, a homemade sled, rolling logs uphill, and loading the same wood over and over. In this video, we share what those attempts taught us and put a log-hauling trailer, gifted by dear friends, to work. It reduces a lot of the lifting and repeated handling, but it isn’t perfect. We show what helped, what gave us trouble, and what we’re still figuring out so Denise can handle more while Marcel recovers. That’s Good Enough for Now: doing what we can with what we have, learning from living, and improving when it makes sense. What have you changed to make a tough job easier? Tell us in the comments.
