Ravenswatch - Merlin (Retaliation build) - (5neg , T-type)

This is a variation of the Defense build that focuses on the Retaliation talent. It’s a rare "high-risk, high-reward" type of build. It’s a shame the damage doesn't stack into a single super-hit. I experimented with using Porridge and Fairy Dust as requested. Unfortunately, the damage doesn't scale with shield size, so the most effective way to play this build is actually by stacking Dragon Hide and high armor; the extra shield from items tends to get in the way. The sheer number of cursed items is just absurd. All in all, though, it’s a great talent and a fun build. There are no specific requirements regarding talents, other than the desirability of Sacred Strike and the slightly less important Grace of Heaven. Retaliation will handle the rest of the work on its own. Mechanic: each use of Blessing Spell applies a temporary shield that deals area-of-effect damage when it expires; all stacks applied before the shield ends accumulate, and then each one deals damage to the enemy.
