Inside Saruman’s War Plan: The Invasion of Rohan

At the end of the Third Age, a new power rose in the West. Saruman the White did not merely march to war — he built an industrial war machine to break Rohan. From the depths of Orthanc to the tactical trap at the Fords of Isen, this is the complete tactical breakdown of the opening campaign of the War of the Ring. In this deep fantasy military analysis, we examine Saruman's strategy: how he exploited Rohan’s political fractures, recruited the Dunlendings, built a powerful military base at Isengard, and used coordinated attacks on both sides of the Isen to isolate Théodred and seize the initiative. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⏳ CHAPTERS 00:00 - The Battle of the Field of Celebrant & The Founding of Rohan 01:50 - The Dunlending Question 03:39 - Saruman's Rise 05:30 - The March to War 12:14 - The Battle of the Fords of Isen: Phase I 13:40 - The Battle of the Fords of Isen: Phase II 16:40 - Aftermath & The Invasion of Rohan ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📜 SOURCES & LORE CONTEXT Based on J.R.R.
