The same week, I also got a Yamaha MT8X 8-track cassette deck. I started recording this song just to test it out, without intending to release it or anything, but I got carried away and turned it into a full-blown cover. It's very lofi, very distorted, and all the tracks were recorded hotter than hell for a bit of extra fuzz. And it has banjos in. This is also proof-of-concept for an album of acoustic originals I want to record this summer (no, seriously).
