Japan, 1973.
A time of rapid change, bold design and technological ambition. Quartz watches were beginning to reshape the industry, but traditional mechanical watchmaking was still very much alive.
This Seiko 7005-7130 is a small piece of that era.
Its gold-plated cushion case, geometric 1970s styling and automatic 17-jewel movement were made for everyday life rather than the display case. More than fifty years later, the dial and hands still look remarkably fresh — almost as if they had just left the factory.
A simple mechanical Seiko from the Shōwa era — preserved, serviced and ready to run again.
No talking. No shortcuts.
Just watchmaking, mechanical sounds and a small piece of 1970s Japan brought back to life.
