How does a SuperGear Performance brake upgrade feel on a 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide? In this video, I install the SuperGear RF7 brake kit, show the conversion details, and share my riding impressions compared with the stock setup.
SPONSORSHIP DISCLOSURE: SuperGear Performance supplied the brake kit featured in this video as part of its sponsorship of my build. The riding feedback is my own.
WHAT MAKES THE RF7 CALIPERS STAND OUT?
• Approximately 2.31 pounds per caliper.
• CNC-machined forged aluminum construction designed for rigidity and heat dissipation.
• Four-piston design with 32mm pistons.
• 108mm radial mounting-bolt spacing.
• SuperGear’s Split Cooling System, designed to help manage heat.
• Bracket options for 300mm, 320mm, and 330mm rotors when paired with the correct fork, rotor, and mounting setup.
MY EXPERIENCE COMPARED WITH OEM
The biggest improvement I’ve noticed is the precision of my brake input. So far, this setup has performed very well, giving me a more connected feel at the lever and making it easier to apply the amount of braking I want.
In the canyons, that makes my braking feel more deliberate and controlled. During slow racing, I’ve also found those light front-brake inputs easier to manage, helping me control my pace and settle into the run from the starting line.
These are my riding impressions, rather than instrumented stopping-distance or brake-temperature results. The standard Road Glide already has four-piston front calipers; this upgrade is about the complete setup, construction, feedback, and riding experience.
The appearance is another highlight. I love how the kit complements the motorcycle, and the compliments have been constant.
INSTALLATION DETAILS
The video covers the axial-to-radial bracket conversion, caliper mounting, clearance checks, and brake-line connection details.
Use the instructions and torque specifications applicable to each component, install new specified banjo sealing washers, and complete the prescribed bleeding procedure—including ABS service. Exact fitment matters: rotor diameter alone does not confirm compatibility.
THANK YOU, SUPERGEAR
