Where you send a prospect after they become interested in you matters more than most people realize. Sometimes the right destination is your main website, where they can explore your services, learn more about you and decide what interests them. Other times, giving them all those choices may actually make it less likely they'll take action. In this episode of The Velvet Rope Playbook, I explore the pros and cons of sending prospects to a general website versus a dedicated sales page—and explain why I think the right answer depends largely on what you already know about what that prospect wants. I'll also show you how I use two different calls to action—MORE and CONFIDENCE—to demonstrate the strategy in my own marketing. The key idea: The more specific the prospect's interest, the more focused the destination should be.
