(Lyrics below) Be careful about how you use the sacred treasures you loot from God's faithful. Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin. I hope you enjoy. Hard to say what the sound is, if you listen to much of my music, it is outside the box. God Bless
LYRICS:
Belshazzar called a feast tonight
A thousand nobles filled the hall
Wine was flowing before them all
Babylon laughed behind its walls
The tables flashed with royal gold
The king grew bolder with the wine
Bring out the vessels, he commanded
Bring what Jerusalem left behind
Gold and silver crossed the room
Taken from the house of God
King and nobles drank together
Wives and concubines joined the toast
Gold and silver heard their praise
Bronze and iron joined the song
Wood and stone became their gods
And holy vessels passed along
Raise it high and drink it down
Gold and silver pass around
Babylon, lift up your crown
Let a thousand shout it loud
Gold and silver, bronze and stone
Iron, wood—we praise our own
Raise the vessels to the light
Who could ever end this night?
Then fingers of a human hand appeared
They wrote upon the plastered wall
Right beside the burning lampstand
And the king watched every mark
Belshazzar's face was changed with fear
His thoughts drove terror through his mind
His strength gave way beneath his body
His knocking knees would not be still
He cried aloud for Babylon's wise men
Read these words and tell me now
Purple, gold, and third in power
Yet no one there could tell him how
The wise men stared upon the writing
But none could read or make it known
The king grew pale, the lords were shaken
Confusion filled the royal hall
Then the queen spoke of a man
With understanding, light, and wisdom
Daniel had explained such mysteries
So Daniel was brought before the king
Raise it high—the room goes still
Fingers writing on the wall
Babylon, where is your crown?
Hear your king cry out aloud
Gold and silver cannot see
Wood and stone cannot hear you
All your laughter dies tonight
Who can read the words tonight?
Purple robes and gold were offered
Third in power if he could know
Daniel said, Keep your gifts
But I will make the writing known
The Most High gave your predecessor
Kingdom, greatness, glory, power
Nations trembled before his throne
Until his heart was lifted high
Then his royal glory left him
He was driven from mankind
He lived among the beasts of earth
Till he knew who rules on high
But you knew all that came before you
Still you would not humble your heart
You raised yourself against the Lord
And brought His holy vessels here
You praised gods that cannot see
Gods that cannot hear or know
But not the God who holds your breath
And every path on which you go
Therefore came the hand before you
Therefore was the writing made
Mene—God has numbered your kingdom
And brought its numbered days to end
Tekel—you were weighed in balance
And you were found wanting there
Peres—now your realm is divided
To Medes and Persians it is given
Mene, Mene—days are done
Tekel—weighed and wanting now
Peres—kingdom split in two
Medes and Persians take the crown
Gold and silver could not see
Wood and stone could never hear
You knew all and bowed to none
Now the numbered night is done
That very night Belshazzar was slain
Darius the Mede received the kingdom
