Philip K. Dick became the definitive science fiction writer of the 20th century, and his novels became the basis for some of cinema's most influential and beloved works. I made this documentary to explore the real-world events and inspirations that shaped Philip K. Dick as a writer and helped him create his masterpieces. This part of the documentary covers the time period from 1952 with the publication of his first short story, until 1963 winning the Hugo Award for 'The Man in the High Castle'.
